BECOME A VALUED BOF SUPPORTER

Berkshire Opera Festival is a non-profit organization that holds steadfast to our mission of making high-quality operatic programming affordable and accessible for people of all ages and backgrounds in our community.  Our family of BOF donors and patrons is passionate about promoting opera in the greater Berkshire region, and we could not provide performances of this caliber without your support.  Our heartfelt thanks go to our many loyal supporters.

Ticket sales cover less than a quarter of the actual costs of producing our fully-staged operas. Therefore, we rely on the generosity of donors like you to raise the curtain on our annual summer festival.  Your personal donation of any size will help us to keep this incredible art form alive for everyone in our Berkshire community and beyond.

Please consider making a tax-deductible gift to Berkshire Opera Festival. In recognition of your generosity, we have benefits available at every giving level.

"We would never have learned about opera if it weren’t for your productions! Such a great resource in our community.”

Tax benefits

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is an investment account for charitable giving that offers an immediate tax benefit and the flexibility to support your preferred charities (such as BOF!) right away or over time. Advantages to donating via your DAF:

  • Simplicity: Your sponsoring organization handles all record-keeping, disbursements (including an option for automatic distributions), and tax receipts.

  • Timing: You can request that a donation be made to the charity of your choice at any time or make automatic recurring gifts on a schedule of your choice.

  • Flexible funding options: Fund your DAF with the assets of your choice, including cash, stock, securities, and even real estate.

If you are interested in donating to Berkshire Opera Festival through your DAF, please note BOF's tax ID number is 47-1596750.
