Parking At The Colonial Theatre

Many commercial lots within a one-block radius are available for parking after 5:00pm.  On-street parking is free after 5:00pm on weekdays, and all day on weekends.  Guaranteed parking is available at the Crowne Plaza Hotel parking garage.  This is a paid lot, but parking is free to bar or dining room patrons.  If coming from the south, the lot can be accessed by turning left on Church Street in front of the Colonial and taking an immediate right.  The lot is on the right.  If coming from the north, the lot can be accessed by turning right onto West Street and taking an immediate left into the Crowne Plaza main entrance.

Directions From Major Roadways

From the north (Vermont)

  • Travel south on US-7 until Pittsfield, where US-7 becomes South Street

  • The Colonial is on the left side of South Street, past the Crowne Plaza Hotel just after the rotary in the center of Pittsfield

 

From the south (Hartford, CT)

  • Travel north on I-91 until Springfield

  • Take exit 14 for I-90 West/Westfield/Albany

  • Take exit 2 for US-20/Lee/Pittsfield, and bear right off the exit ramp

  • Travel north on US-20 West through Lee and Lenox to Pittsfield

  • In Pittsfield, US-20 becomes US-7 (South Street)

  • The Colonial is on the right side of South Street, just after the intersection of South and E. Housatonic Streets, and before the rotary in the center of Pittsfield

 

From the south (New York, NY)

  • Travel north on I-87

  • Merge onto I-90 East toward Massachusetts

  • Take exit 2 for US-20/Lee/Pittsfield, and bear right off the exit ramp

  • Travel north on US-20 West through Lee and Lenox to Pittsfield

  • In Pittsfield, US-20 becomes US-7 (South Street)

  • The Colonial is on the right side of South Street, just after the intersection of South and E. Housatonic Streets, and before the rotary in the center of Pittsfield

 

From the west (Albany, NY)​​

  • Travel east on US-20 until the intersection of US-20 and US-7 (South Street)

  • Take a left onto South Street

From the east (Springfield and Boston, MA)​​

  • Travel west on I-90

  • Take exit 2 for US-20/Lee/Pittsfield, and bear right off the exit ramp

  • Travel north on US-20 West through Lee and Lenox to Pittsfield

  • Once in Pittsfield, US-20 becomes US-7 (South Street)

Directions From Major Roadways

From Boston and points east:

  • Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) West to exit 2 for US-20 east.

  • Turn left onto US-20 east, then take the 1st right onto MA-102 (W/Pleasant St).

  • Continue to follow MA-102 west for about 4.5 miles.

  • Turn left onto US-7 south (South St), and stay on US-7 south for 6.6 miles.

  • Turn left onto Main Street. Stay on Main Street for 0.7 miles.

  • Just beyond St. James Episcopal Church, turn right onto St. James Place.

  • The main college entrance is 1.8 miles ahead on the right.


From Albany and points west:

  • Take the New York State Thruway (I-90) to Exit B3 (Canaan, NY).

  • Follow Route 22 south for 0.7 miles and turn left onto Route 102 east.

  • Stay on Route 102 for 2.5 miles to West Stockbridge.

  • Turn right onto Route 41 south for 10.5 miles to Great Barrington, where it becomes Main Street. At the fourth set of traffic lights, just beyond St. James Episcopal Church, turn right onto St. James Place.

  • The main college entrance is 1.8 miles ahead on the right.
     

From Connecticut:

  • Take I-84 or US-44 to US-7. Follow US-7 north to Great Barrington, where it becomes Main Street.

  • At the third traffic light, turn left onto St. James Place.

  • The main college entrance is 1.8 miles ahead on the right.
     

From New York, New Jersey, and points south:

  • Take the Taconic Parkway north to the Hillsdale/Claverack exit (Route 23).

  • Follow NY/MA Route 23 east for 17.5 miles, until it meets US-7 north in Great Barrington.

  • Turn left at the traffic light onto US-7/MA-23.

  • At the next traffic light, turn left onto St. James Place.

  • The main college entrance is 1.8 miles ahead on the right.
